Accessibility Statement

We want workflowsaga.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, or browser zoom. This statement is a self-assessment against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at AA level — it hasn't been reviewed by an external auditor, and we're upfront that this is ongoing work, not a finished state.

1. What we've done

  • A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users, so the navigation doesn't have to be tabbed through on every page.
  • A single, logical heading structure on every page (one H1, with H2/H3 used in order, not for visual styling).
  • Text colour combinations checked against WCAG AA contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text) on both light and dark sections of the site.
  • Visible keyboard focus states on links, buttons and form fields, not just a mouse hover state.
  • Decorative icons and images marked so screen readers skip over them, while meaningful icons and links have proper text alternatives.
  • Form fields with properly associated labels, not just placeholder text.
  • An entry screen that can be dismissed with a mouse click or a keyboard press (Enter or Space), and which only shows once per visitor rather than on every page load.
  • Decorative animation (the entry screen, background motifs, hover effects) is disabled site-wide if your operating system is set to reduce motion.

2. Known limitations

We're aware of areas that could still be improved. Most notably, this statement is a self-assessment, not an audit carried out by an accessibility specialist — we're confident in the basics above, but haven't had the site formally tested with real assistive technology users.

We're working through these over time rather than treating accessibility as a one-off task.
